This 10-legged table, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, is only one of two produced in this style. It was made for the exhibition Architecture and Craft of the New Style, held in Moscow in 1903, where its stark-white palette shocked Mackintosh's modern Viennese counterparts. Such international exhibitions were crucial to the promotion and dissemination of ideas among modern designers in the United Kingdom and Europe.
