Flower Stand (Jardinière)

Pierre Philippe Thomire (French, 1751–1843) · France · c. 1800

Thomire was the most productive and famous bronze caster in Paris around 1800. The border of this flower stand was cast from the same molds used for a centerpiece signed by Thomire; therefore, the stand can safely be presumed to have been produced by Thomire as well.
